DAY 1 : AGADIR – MARRAKECH

Today we will pick you up at your hotel in Agadir and we drive towards Marrakech. We explore here main attractions and we spend this night in local riad with dinner and breakfast.

DAY 2 : MARRAKECH – TIZI NTICHKA PASS – OUARZAZATE:

After breakfast , we’ll leave for Ouarzazate via the Tizi Ntichka Pass. Today you will enjoy the beautiful scenery over the High Atlas mountains and appreciate the remarkable Berber villages before you get to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. It was built by the last Berber chieftain El Glaoui Et-Hami in the late 19th century; it is now a UNESCO matrimonial historical site, which today still houses many Glaoui family members. Lunch is by the Kasbah before we continue to Ouarzazate, “ the Hollywood of Africa”. Here you have the option of visiting the studios to see props used in some movies you might have seen, such as “Gladiator”, “Jewel of the Nile” “the last temptation of Christ”and “The Sahara”. Overnight in our fancy riad with dinner and breakfast.

DAY 3 : OUARZAZATE – SKOURA –BOUTAGHRAR – DADES VALLEY:

After breakfast in the riad , we’ll leave to explore the fascinating Dades and Rose Valleys. Our first stop will be at Skoura to walk within the Birds Valley and visit the beautiful and well preserved Kasbah of Ameridil. Then we’ll continue to the village of Kalaa M’gouna, famous for its roses fields and rose products. A rose festival is held here every May each year, when the roses are harvested. Since this is the road of the thousands Kasbahs you’ll have plenty of opportunities to take some beautiful pictures. Our journey continues to boutaghrar area where we can meet Berber families still living in caves with their gaots and sheep . After lunch with Berber family,we continue to the Dades Gorge where you will enjoy seeing the amazing Rock formation called “the monkey Toes” and the still standing Kasbah of Ait yul. Overnight in a traditional Berber guest house with dinner and breakfast.

DAY 4 : DADES VALLEY – TODGHA GORGE – MERZOUGA:

After breakfast , we will drive towards Tinghir and the Todgha valley enjoying the panoramic views of the old mud Berber villages overlooking the valley. Once at the Todgha Gorge you can walk under the 300 m high red cliff, where many rock-climbers spend their time. After lunch in the way,we will arrive to the village of Merzouga – where your camel will be waiting you. You’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea and desert scarf before you ride your camel, guided by an experienced Camel Guide, to explore within the mysterious sand-sea of the Erg-Chebbi. Here you will spend your first night under the stars, or if you prefer, in a traditional Berber nomad tent.

DAY 5 : ERG CHEBBI – DRAA VALLEY – OUARZAZATE :

Your camel man will wake you up early in the morning to watch what well may be the best sunrise in your life. Afterwards, you will trek back to the village of Merzouga. Enroute you couldn’t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes -changing with the light as the day progresses. After breakfast and shower in the riad, you will start an explorative journey of the area. You’ll visit the village of the Gnawa people, originally slaves brought from Sudan Mali and Senegal, to experience their music and lifestyle. After that, you leave for Rissani – once Sijilmassa – the foundation of the Alaouite daynasty, the current ruling family. With most of the woman veiled, and men hooded, this is a very traditional Moroccan town. We’ll continue driving towards the spectacular kasbah Tamnougalt and Agdz village, via Alnif and Tazzarine, before we get to the fascinating Draa Valley at the edge of the Atlas Mountains, along which lay hundreds of Berber Kasbahs, then to Ouarzazate, where you will be at a riad.

DAY 6 : OUARZAZATE – AIT BENHADDOU – MARRAKECH :

After breakfast in your riad, you will start travelling to Marrakech via the largest Kasbah in Morocco, and then over the Atlas Mountains. Your first stop will be at the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. Built by one of the last Berber chieftain El Glaoui Et-Hami in the late 19th century, it is now a UNESCO heritage site, which today still houses many Glaoui family members. Journeying on through the Ounilla valley to Kasbah Telouet, you will enjoy the panoramic views and the scenic moon-like landscape with the contrast of the Berber villages and the Atlas Mountains. Today you will also visit the Kasbah Telouet, an area that was known for the trading caravans led by T-Hami El Glaoui ancestors during the end of the 19th century. Your journey will continue through the majestic Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m) over the High Atlas Mountains, before arriving at your accommodation in Marrakech where the tour ends.

DAY 7 : MARRAKECH – AGADIR:

Today we drive from Marrakech to Agadir where our tour finishes.
